Position Title: Manager/Senior Manager, Pricing & Growth Analytics

Role and Responsibilities:

This role reports directly to the Vice President of A&A Enablement and is responsible for managing a team, supporting the Vice President of Pricing and Growth Analytics (P&GA) in North America, as well as clients in other regions. In addition to working independently and in teams on internal initiatives, this role also participates in client engagements, relationship management and solutioning. This includes:

  • Works collaboratively with the A&A Account Executive on client engagements and drive usage of A&A services
  • Peer reviews work done by other A&A team members
  • Demonstrate leadership in the insurance industry via
    • Thought leadership articles and white papers
    • Participate in podcast/blog discussions
    • Contributing to actuarial literature
  • Brings technical and subject matter expertise to all P&GA related discussions
  • Implement ISO rating plans as well as develop proprietary rating plans for clients
  • Provide support for rate/rule filings and engage with DOIs as needed to get approval
  • Participates in the development and enhancement of pricing tools.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Near Associate of an Actuarial Society/Organization (Associate/Fellow preferred)
  • Strong research and analytical skills 7 years+ of insurance industry experience
  • Effective verbal and writing communication skills
  • Experience in Personal Homeowners & Auto, Commercial Prop, GL, Auto. Exposure to other LOBs and specialty lines preferred
  • Performed profitability studies, competitor analysis, and price monitoring
  • Determining the appropriate profit & contingencies load for a given LOB
  • Created and presented management reports
  • Interfaced with UW, Product Development, and IT on technology initiatives
  • Understands the interactions between pricing and reserving as well as difference in assumptions
  • Experience with pricing predictive modeling methodologies and best practices (preferred)
  • Reinsurance experience (preferred)
