This role will service property claims in the US and its territories, with emphasis in the gulf states, with high concentration of litigated claims being in Florida. We are a remote working environment and emphasize work life balance.

Litigation Specialist – Homeowners Property

 What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with defense counsel to determine agreed to litigation and disposition plans.
  • Formulate timely and accurate case evaluations.
  • Assess probability of success and initiate disposition strategy, using all forums for timely negotiation.
  • Breaking impasse’s by finding the win/ win scenario.
  • Recommend referral to SIU where appropriate and may assist the SIU in their investigation and settling of the claim.
  • Identify opportunities for recovery (Subrogation) and investigates and pursues accordingly
  • Operate process and ensure complete adherence to defined Service Level Agreements with our clients.
  • Grow and develop skills under our enhanced training program.

 What you’ll bring to the team:

  • BA/BS degree or Paralegal certification or working towards attaining CPCU, AIC, PCLS, RPA, CGA, and other relevant Insurance designations.
  • Prior Field, Desk, Litigation and/or Catastrophe experience
  • Individual Independent State Adjuster licenses preferred, especially in your resident state + gulf states. Ability to obtain proper licensing as required within 60 days of hire.
  • 5+ years of P&C Insurance experience specializing in adjusting Homeowners Property claims from moderate to high complexity.
  • Good written & verbal communication
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Xactimate, Xactanalysis, PLNR, and virtual claim handling
  • Ability to work in a high production environment utilizing various technology solutions to handle claims virtually
  • Good analytical reasoning with ability to make autonomous decisions.
